- Application Details

- Online application form is deemed invalid if incorrectly filled in or with insufficient supporting materials.
- Contestants should not give any inaccurate or misleading information. Otherwise, the application will be deemed invalid.
- The name submitted in the online application form will be displayed on the comment sheet and certificate.
- All applications must be submitted via HKFA’s online application system. Should there be any questions regarding the application, please send an email to loading... during office hours. HKFA shall reply within 3 working days.
- The submission time will be subject to HKFA’s online application system; applications must be completed by 11:59:59 p.m. HKT.
- Late submission of online application form will not be accepted.
- To prevent conflicts of interest, applications are required to declare the name of the flute teacher during online applications.

- Application Method
- The Competition can be applied by an individual or on behalf of someone else.
- Please apply for the Competition according to the following procedure:
- Video Recording: Film the video according to the requirements provided in Section 4 (Specifications of Video Recording).
- Uploading Video: Upload the video to Google Drive/ Baidu Netdisk, set it as private, and name the video title according to the specified format (Competition Level – Contestant’s full name – Repertoire).
- Submitting the Online Application Form: After obtaining the video link, please fill in the online application form accordingly. Use of other online platforms or submission methods shall not be accepted.
- Each ensemble only needs one member to act as representative, and fill in the information of other members during the application process.
- Entry Fee
- Entry fee must be submitted upon application.
- Young Artist Level/ 2nd Hong Kong International Flute Competition Grand Cup comprise the Preliminary Round, First Round and Final Round.
- Junior Level/ Intermediate Level/ Senior Level/ Young Artist Level/ 2nd Hong Kong International Flute Competition Grand Cup comprise the First Round and Final Round.
- Elite Young Flautist Group I/ Elite Young Flautist Group II/ Amateur (Elementary) Level/ Amateur (Advanced) Level only comprise the Final Round.
- Entry fees for Solo Categories are as follow:
- Contestants of Junior Level/ Intermediate Level/ Senior Level only need to submit the entry fee during application for the First Round;
- Contestants of Young Artist Level/ 2nd Hong Kong International Flute Competition Grand Cup need to submit the entry fee during applications for both the Preliminary Round and First Round;

- Entry fees for the Ensemble Categories are as follow:

- Original physical receipts should be kept until the end of the Competition.

- Confirmation Letter

- Confirmation letter shall be used to ensure Contestants’ eligibility. All Contestants will receive a confirmation letter via email within 7 working days after submitting their online application forms and entry fees.
- Should Contestants fail to receive the confirmation letter after 7 working days of their application, please notify HKFA through loading... during office hours within 3 working days.
- Contestants shall be disqualified if they do not receive confirmation letters nor notify HKFA within 14 days after application.
- Only the representative of each ensemble will receive a confirmation letter; confirmation letters will not be sent to other members of the ensemble.
- If you cannot find the Confirmation Letter, please check your spam or junk box. It is possible that your email provider mistakenly sent our messages to your spam or junk box. To avoid this, please remove our message from your spam list.

- Amendments of Information
- All Contestants’ information shall be subject to the confirmation letter. Should there be any incorrect information found, please contact HKFA via email within 3 working days after receiving the confirmation letter.
- HKFA reserves the right to modify any details of the Competition.
- Refund Arrangement
- All registration and administration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
